The Adidas by Stella McCartney Ultra Boost in history
In August 2015, Through Adidas and Stella McCartney's partnership, the birth of a sporty piece emerged, called Adidas by Stella McCartney Ultra Boost. It soon after gained the attention of big names such as Kanye West.
The following year, another release from the team-up is the Ultra Boost, a fresh look in a brand-new colorway. The shoe rocks a white Primeknit upper with black overlays, orange detailing on the side panels of the shoe, and pink laces. A grey heel counter, a mesh cage, a white BOOST midsole, and a black rubber outsole finish up the whole look of the shoe.
Also, in the summer of that same year, as a celebration of the 2016 Summer Olympics, another Stella-Adidas collaboration brought a new addition to their footwear collection. The Ultra Boost and Pure Boost profiles are haphazard, resulting in the shot-up of the sneaker’s performance roots with fashion senses. The Primeknit on the Ultra Boost is ditched and replaced with a softer, glitter-fuelled weave, rendered in an eye-catching gold knit. The laces and lacing system of the shoe were complemented with white accents.
In the 2016 Fall Collection of the brand, another new iteration of the Ultra Boost is made, giving the shoe a vibrant colorway. The shoe showcased a mesh outer cage system in black and purple. A red and white pattern covered the upper and white color on the toe, heel, laces, and midsole unit, complementing the whole new look of the shoe.
