The Waterproof and breathable is sought-after for being super comfortable right out of the box, stylish, and versatile. Some people find it expensive though. But that makes up for the quality construction and suede leather upper. And since it’s a low-cut shoe, it may not offer complete protection on rugged terrain.

Featuring a Gore-Tex waterproof membrane and Vibram outsole, the Waterproof and breathable is a hiker ideal for day hiking and overnight trips on mixed trail conditions. It is a solid option if you:

The insides of the shoe are lined with Gore-Tex Extended Comfort - a durable waterproof membrane with “climate comfort performance”. This technology offers non-insulated footwear waterproof protection with some breathability.
There is, however, not enough breathable material in the upper (such as mesh). This means the shoe can get a little warmer on really humid days. Thankfully, it’s a low-cut model which means your foot won’t feel too hot and skimped.
Secure fit
Completing the upper is a traditional lace-up closure for a secure fit. There’s a pull tab in the heel system for assisted entry.
