This is a firm road running shoe that won't deliver on longer runs due to the lack of responsiveness but doesn't disappoint on shorter runs, whether on wet or dry terrain. What's great is that it kept the traditional ride, the shoe flexes naturally with the foot, which is the most Chukka thing about it.

It's very comfortable for medium and narrow feet. However, if you're on the wider end or expect toe splay, you will be disappointed. The welded overlays go across the toebox in such a way that they don't allow your pinkie toe to "escape" a bit. Also, if you do try to lace the shoes really hard, the extra tongue material folds in on itself. Runners wish the tongue was not overdone like this.

This is a firm shoe. Although it looks well-cushioned, it's no pillow ride. The midsole is firm and, while that can be a great thing, here it's not Adventures it also removed responsiveness from the equation. There's no snap, no energetic toe-off. And runners do love those.
