The Mescalito Mid GTX can cling to a variety of terrain with its Vibram Dynamis LBT (Litebase Technology) outsole. Its ability to latch onto wet surfaces and the stickiness of its multi-faceted lugs are all thanks to the rubber compound on which it was based—Megagrip. This grippy layer has a smooth front end (also known as the climbing zone), which provides additional climbing security during smearing maneuvers.

Comfortable cushioning

A compression-molded midsole is what practically supplies cushioning and ground stability in the nbsp; |   approach shoe. It is made of ethylene-vinyl acetate—a foam-like material capable of mitigating shock without getting squished under the weight of the wearer.

To improve its stability game, Scarpa shoemakers built it with an anti-torsional (anti-twisting) insert made of thermoplastic polyurethane. They also paired it with a cushy footbed for extra underfoot comfort.

Flexible tongue and supportive collar

The nbsp; |  ’s over-the-ankle upper is made of authentic suede leather, which has a thickness of 1.8 mm. Both its flexible tongue and supportive collar are sufficiently padded for extra in-shoe comfort. Since it is lined with Gore-Tex’s Extended Comfort membrane, the shoe can defend itself from virtually all sorts of external moisture without sacrificing breathability.

Bump protection

Around its lower perimeter, a PU (polyurethane) is in place to protect the leather from cuts and scrapes. The shoe’s front end, on the other hand, comes with a thick rubber cap for bump protection.

Secure fit

A heavy-duty lace made of interwoven synthetic cords and combination eyelets makes up the shoe’s fit management system. It has a pair of open hooks in place of regular lace holes for quicker last-minute adjustments.
