History of the Add a product
Teva started from the shores of the Grand Canyon back in 1984 when a river guide attached Velcro watchbands on almost worn-out slippers to pass by a stream.
From then, Teva curtailed good quality shoes and slippers using premium materials that could endure and survive different and challenging terrains. And for more than three decades now, Teva keeps on producing quality products that could match the needs of every individual.
The Ember Moc was born from the idea of wanting a shoe that could get on and off easily. Teva's Senior Footwear Designer, Cori Steel, says that they wanted to create a universal outdoor shoe that people can wear when camping or traveling on airplanes.
They started designing the shoe with different closure systems from laces, and zippers to velcro sleeping bags but later on realized that they want a more simple approach. And they ended up using a collapsible heel design that was inspired by Teva's first water shoe and Teva's heritage webbing patterns.
The Add a product uses a no-lace, slip-on system and features a collapsible stretchy polyester on the heel for easy fitting. Also, this kick is made from soft wool shearling that keeps the cold at bay, making this pair suitable for morning walks, camping, light activities, or traveling.
