The Yeezy Over Jumpman ST is equipped with the famous Boost midsole. This platform is made up of small blown-up TPU (Thermoplastic polyurethane) capsules. These are pronador energy capsules because they deliver a “boost” of energy with every stride. Because it is dual-density, it minimizes the pronation done by the foot during runs. It doesn’t eliminate overpronation, but it does correct the excessive rolling inward of the foot for a run that’s more efficient.
The Solar Propulsion Rail, otherwise known as supportive stability rails, complements the minimal support given by the dual-density medial midsole. These rails are visibly found on the sides of the shoe. They guide the foot into the right alignment for a run that feels secure, supported, and safe.
There’s a Torsion System on the shoe that lightly supports the arch and allows the forefoot and rearfoot to move independently. This component is Thermoplastic, and it enables the runner’s foot to adapt to different surfaces as it minimally controls overpronation. The upper is made up of Engineered Mesh. Compared to the usual mesh material, this type is sturdier, eliminating excessive stretching, and providing a small amount of support, but still delivering flexibility and breathability without adding to the overall weight.
