Our verdict
They might also hail the Arc'teryx Konseal LT as an astonishingly breathable pair that sticks to most surfaces like a champ. That said, the shoe in question might be too stiff underfoot for some adventurers. Overall, the Konseal LT, despite its lone misfire, does Arc’teryx proud with its stunning set of trail-to-rock qualities.
Pros

Who should buy the Arc'teryx Konseal LT
Superbly lightweight with kingly comfort—is perhaps what many will call the Arc’teryx Konseal LT at first wear. It is a solid option if you:
- Prefer an approach shoe that is capable of addressing a variety of approach-specific challenges with as much mobility as possible.
- Prefer an approach shoe that provides users with sufficient support, even while they are carrying a loaded pack.
- Prefer an approach shoe that delivers additional level-ground walking comfort, thanks in large part to its moderately rockered toe section.

The Arc’teryx Konseal LT is in the business of granting wearers enough surface traction with its Vibram Megagrip outsole. The rubber compound powering it (a.k.a. Megagrip) provides sustained tenacity on a variety of backcountry surfaces, be they wet or dry. The circular lugs scattered around it provide adequate friction in practically every direction.

Its ability to give users sufficient braking power during descents is because of its square edge heel. On the other hand, its smooth forefoot tip—widely known as the climbing zone—delivers extra grip on smears.
Shock-absorbing cushioning
On the cushioning front, hikers have the Konseal LT’s stabilizing midsole to thank. This firm yet springy layer is made of ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA). A midsole made of this particular material is adequately effective at mitigating shock on impact.
Excellent arch support
This shoe is topped with a 3D-molded insert called Dynamic Foam that delivers extra comfort underfoot. It owes its plushness mainly to its 4.5-mm thick construction. This removable component also provides additional support around the arch.
Same brand only
The breathable low-top shell of the Konseal LT is synthetic, with its vulnerable high-contact sections reinforced with overlays. Its heel and gusseted tongue have a sturdy pull loop that makes on and off a relatively easy affair.
Tongue Pull Loop
The shoe has protective sidewalls that deliver lateral protection and a 3D-molded toe cap that provides added grip where toeing maneuvers are required. The long-wearing overlay on the heel provides more rearfoot support.

The Konseal LT’s resilient upper has a lace-to-toe fit management system. It consists of slits for eyelets and flat lace. It comes with an extra pair of eyelets around the ankle cuff, and they give a different fit configuration when used.
