Our verdict
Daring and undaunted - two words that describe this wild-chasing sneaker. Jumping down flights of stairs and performing extreme skate tricks are not something to fear when DC Metric is on feet; skaters say so. And even though its tongue isn’t “90s puffy,” wearers find it well-padded which ensures feet’s comfort and protection. This sneaker may sound like a toughie, but it surprisingly carries a little amount of weight that makes daily ventures feel light and free.

Sweaty feet no more

DC Metric calls for a size adjustment
According to a sneakerhead, DC Metric is “not meant for wide feet.” Other reviewers shared it is so tight-fitting that a half-size increase does their feet a favor. Moreover, two testers shared the same issue of their feet moving forward in the front of this skate sneaker, which is apparently caused by its forward-slanted back shape. Thus, the half increment is really a must.
Fantastic board feel
“More board feel at the toe, but a lot more protection at the heel,” this is what DC Metric is all about, a skater demonstrated. Another former skater agreed and added that this awesome combination is because: “you’ve got a mixture between a cup sole and a wedge sole.”
Fans commended its whole footbed construction as it “helps stop any type of shock” when hitting the ground. “It actually holds true to taking the impact,” one attested.
Non-skaters approved, too
Even though Metric is “on point when it comes to skate-ability,” sneakerheads also get to enjoy it for casual and daily wear. One reason for that is its anti-heavy feel. One said that it’s very light and “good for everyday things.” “Not only good for skating,” just like what a fan retorted. A break-in period is needed, though, especially for loosening up its tight feeling.
Fantastic board feel
Spending too much time in skate parks in DC Metric doesn’t bother skaters as it has “lots of ventilation.” A reviewer remarked that through the mesh, “you can actually feel the air go into your shoes.” The mesh is impressive because, after three weeks of skating, a skater confirmed he didn’t end up with a smelly pair.
DC Metric: Bad boys of the skate (and casual) scene
A vlogger considered DC Metric as one of the best sneakers he has ever seen from the brand. It has a gorgeous look that caught the attention of sneakerheads. The top-down view is also “mad clean,” a sneaker fan described.
