Paying tribute to skater Leo Romero's first pro model shoes, the Leo back in 2006, is the Emerica Romero Americana. This low-top skate shoe has a simple pattern, just like the original.
However, compared to the Leo, this silhouette has perforated air holes instead of the two stripes on the side of the shoe. Not much is changed from the classic model since Leo wanted to keep it clean and straightforward. Only improvements to the pair's materials are made.

Emerica is a brand under Sole Technology, Inc., which specializes in skate shoe production and distribution. Emerica, launched in 1996, sponsors a team of skateboarders, and among these skateboarders is the Fontana, California native: Leo Romero.
Leo Romero started to skate way back in 1997 and eventually became an Emerica team rider. He even won the "Skater of the Year" award in Thrasher Magazine in 2010.
Romero released his first signature shoe in 2006 as the Leo, and it is the silhouette used to make the latest Romero Americana. Leo wanted to bring his classic skate shoe back to the scene, adjusting it to satisfy the skaters' needs.
