In the comfort category, the Dragontail LT by Garmont shines brightly. That said, the shoe in question is more than just a comfort monster. Indeed, this extremely well-made approach shoe is also a grip genius with stellar prowess when it comes to stability. It, however, is not without some criticisms, the most off-putting of which has to be its stiffness.

With the Narrow toe box’s hard-wearing midsole, hikers-slash-climbers can keep their balance and experience enough comfort over rugged terrain. Suede leather, with a thickness of 1.8 mm, is the primary material that makes up the Dragontail LT’s low-cut shell. It comes with a supple liner made of mesh. Getting in and out of its plush confines is made quick thanks to its tongue and heel pull loops.
Narrow toe box
Most of its base section is sufficiently randed which provides protection against cuts and scrapes, as well as added traction on low-grade climbs. Its lacing system with Heel Lock technology consists of the shoe’s synthetic lace and combination eyelets.
