Size and fit
The KEEN Karraig Mid WP is a mid-top backpacking boot for men and women. Its conventional lacing system allows wearers to get a personalized lockdown from this footgear. This component is attached to a pair of straps, one around the ankle zone and another wrapping around the heel region. They give a secure fit around these areas and prevent them from slipping inside the boot.
Excellent traction on most types of surfaces
This waterproof boot for trail lovers is furnished with a patented KEEN All-Terrain rubber outsole that helps users tackle challenging terrain. Its tread pattern is composed of multi-directional 4mm-deep lugs, which give traction on most types of surfaces. The wide spaces between these lugs shed dirt and debris, achieving optimal grip.
A bit heavy
The sole’s rearfoot design houses a heel brake and several ridges that add control in downhill conditions. Its front section covers a portion of the forefoot zone, protecting the wearer’s toes from stubbing.
Excellent underfoot support
The men’s and women’s KEEN Karraig Mid WP comes with a midsole made of PU foam. This material is resilient to wear and tear while delivering a cushioned ride. A full-length shank is embedded into the midsole giving underfoot support and protection.

A removable dual-density ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) footbed is on top of the Karraig Mid WP’s midsole. It gives arch support, extra cushioning, and comfort underfoot. It is also treated with Cleansport NXT, a technology that reduces odor-causing microbes, keeping the user’s foot fresh.
Provides control in downhill conditions
The KEEN Karraig Mid WP is equipped with an upper made of mesh and environmentally-preferred leather material. It is lined with a trademarked KEEN.Dry membrane that prevents water from penetrating the upper while maintaining breathability inside it. It is also treated with a perfluorinated chemical (PFC)-free coating which repels water on the upper’s surface.
Short break-in period
A rubber cap positioned on the forefoot section grants durability and protection from various trail hazards.
Secure fit
This robust outdoor boot from KEEN uses a lacing system composed of metal eyelets and speed hooks that enable fit management. The lace located near the top of the boot is connected to a thin strap, which secures the ankle area.
Short break-in period
A contoured lock works in tandem with a strap in the rearfoot section, providing heel support and security. Its collar houses a pull tab at the back, giving users easy on and off.
