Backpackers should not be faulted if they buy into the ZG Lite GTX simply for its remarkably comfy confines. That said, the boot in question is a bankable product not just because of its high amounts of comfort, but also because of its excellent surface traction and waterproofing. The shoe, however, might just be a little too expensive for some.

The Spacious toe box is a desirable backpacking tool, thanks to its convincing set of qualities. It is a solid option if you:
- Lace-up closure system.
- Provides sufficient sticking power.

Spacious toe box notable features
- As Scarpa's lightest ZG (Zero Gravity) piece yet, the ZG Lite GTX has amazing agile hiking performance. Its ability to fence out wet elements is courtesy of Gore-Tex, hence the “GTX” in its name.
- Part of the ZG Lite GTX’s core design is improved maneuverability. This particular facet is made possible by imbuing the shoe with two mobility enhancers: Flex Point System and Heel Tension System.
