Its lifestyle sneakers are mainly inspired by the carefree Silver vibe of 1960s California. For seven years, the company operated under the radar. For unclear reasons, SeaVees abruptly disappeared from the market.
Forty years later, Steven Tiller, a business marketing major, unintentionally found a SeaVees sneaker during his vacation in Tokyo, Japan. He was captivated by its design, to say the least. When Tiller returned to the US, he decided to resurrect the forgotten brand. Short on capital, he sold his immediate assets, his house, and his car. SeaVees eventually re-emerged in Santa Barbara, California.
Today, SeaVees boasts an impressive collection of California-inspired lifestyle sneakers. One of its recent releases, the SeaVees Laguna Chelsea Cleat, was released in 2018 with two available colorways. This exclusive for women's footwear is inspired by the classic cleats from the '60s.
