The Teva Grandview GTX’s list of strengths may be seen as a welcome addition to any hiker’s gear. It is a solid option if you:
- Prefer a hiking boot that empowers trail enthusiasts with ample performance for day hikes or multi-day excursions.
- Its front tip covers a portion of the toe box that delivers protection from various trail hazards.

Track and XC
This waterproof boot for hikers comes with a Vibram Megagrip outsole for ground adherence. It is made of a specially formulated Megagrip rubber compound, making it resistant to wear and abrasion.
Its profile is filled with a combination of triangular and bone-shaped lugs to produce a grip on wet and dry surfaces.
Lab test results
The sole’s forefoot and rearfoot zones contain ridges. We found this design to be very helpful for tackling uphill and downhill conditions with sufficient control.
Easily accumulates dust and dirt.
How we test
Teva placed a footbed made of polyurethane (PU) on top of the Grandview GTX’s midsole. We highly appreciated the extra cushioning and underfoot comfort it offered.
Top 1% in
The Teva Grandview GTX features an upper made of mesh and eco-friendly leather. The latter is sourced from Leather Working Group-certified tanneries, which promote environmentally sustainable practices.
It also comes with a Gore-Tex Leaf membrane, which is made of 71% recycled materials. We found it to be just as effective in protecting the foot from wet encounters as the traditional GTX membrane.
Waterproof and sustainable membrane.
Secure fit
The Grandview GTX’s closure system uses a series of eyelets and a Universal Heel Lock System that aid the wearer in managing the boot’s fit. The latter’s webbing straps are also made of a recycled plastic called Repreve, which combines both durability and eco-friendly properties.
Easy to put on
A pull tab is positioned on the tip of the tongue for easy on and off. A toe cap and a heel counter are found on both ends of the boot for trail protection and support, respectively.
