The Under Armour Charged Escape 3 fits true to size. I am a men's U.S. 9.5 in most Sonic and the Escape fits me perfectly.

Good for running but Great for everything else

While slated as a running shoe, the Under Armour Charged Escape 3 can find its home on a spin bike, a CrossFit class, tennis or racquetball, or just working out at the gym. It is not a long-distance runner, but that said, I did find it to be very comfortable and well suited on the treadmill for 3-4 miles.

The Under Armour Charged Escape 3 has a super comfortable feel to it. The midsole is supportive but not too rigid. The cushion of the tongue is superbly engineered and locks down on the top of the foot very comfortably. The upper mesh is breathable and pliable. While running in these shoes I would have liked a little more cushion, but ultimately I was pretty happy with the responsive nature of the sole.

The Under Armour Charged Escape 3 has a nice quick energy return about it. It feels responsive and fast. The solid lockdown of the lace cage allowed me to corner nice and quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to use this shoe in a 5K fun run or something similar but would shy away from running any longer races in the Under Armour Charged Escape 3.

Under Armour HOVR Sonic 3 White White White

I was really impressed with how grippy the rubber of the sole is. On wet pavement, the sole performed exceptionally well. I could not ask for more regarding traction on verified surfaces.

The bulky ankle collar is over-stuffed

One thing I didn't like was the bulky ankle collar. It just seemed unnecessary for a road running training shoe. Pairing it down would also make this already lightweight shoe even lighter!

Secure lockdown in the Charged Escape 3

As stated earlier, the lace cage and padded tongue provide great comfort but they also lock down your foot very securely. The Under Armour Charged Escape 3 creates a secure but non-restrictive cocoon around the foot. 

Subtly stylish

I always admire shoes with a soft-spoken sense of style and the Under Armour Charged Escape 3 has just that. For neighborhood runs, days at the gym or everyday wear the Charged Escape will compliment your style, but won´t be too loud. 

A price you can’t beat

Not only is the Under Armour Charged Escape 3 comfortable, stylish, and great for short-distance runs, it's also priced right. Given that you can score a pair of these for $90 they are hard to pass up. If you want a pair of stylish running shoes that double as a gym shoe, the Under Armour Charged Escape 3 is a good one to look at.
