We can't say we felt this shoe fast during our wear tests. When we hooped with it, it was more of a "okay my feet are on the ground" feel than a "I think I might as well fly" one. When we took it to our lab, our scale easily explained why.

We played in the Zion 3 inside of a gym and on an outdoor court and, in our experience, it was grippy on both!

It features a two-toned outsole that uses a dyed and a translucent rubber compound. The first one has the typical spiky herringbone pattern, and the second one has a round linear tread that surrounds the darker piece.

We enjoyed the traction of this shoe, but we have to mention that we found it was way better in the dyed piece. It bit the court consistently, which we found very convenient, as our playstyle is more based on the forefoot, and not so much on the heel.

The thing is that this Jordan kick doesn't have any protection for toe-draggers like us. This means that the shoe suffered when we played streetball, so we wouldn't really recommend it to play on harsh courts.

At 6.9 mm, we felt its padding protected us from any kind of lace bite or hot spots whenever we played, and our instep was also very comfortable. What else could we ask for?
